Ohio State is a respectable university that can prepare you for medical school. But you have to understand that it is a huge school with many thousands of students. You will have to battle it out with hundreds of premed students. Many will go to medical school, but hundreds more will be weeded out of the program or finish with grades and MCAT scores too low to get them into med school.

At a school like OSU it is all about your competitiveness and your determination to succeed. If your will weakens, you will never make it to medical school. You must pursue your goal with single minded persistence and dedication.

I am sure it is. I don't have personal knowledge of it, but the schools is excellent. It's not Harvard or Yale, but that is not very important to get into Med School. You need to have about a 3.6 or higher , you need some other interests both in and outside the school.
Taking zoology is a great leed in for Medicine.
Then you have to interview well when you apply to med school. Higher grades will help, but activities are very important. Even if it's just working to pay your way thru college.
Good Luck
NOTE: Med School is easy compared to undergrad.

I was in grad school there, and had a lot of friends in the med school, and they all had good things to say about it. It's especially noted for cancer research, and other specialized research areas.
