Have you ever ......?

Question

either taken someone or been taken snipe hunting? If so, what happened?

My husband and I were in a restaurant today where they had some different types of animals and birds stuffed and he said one of the birds was a snipe. Our version of snipe hunting when I was in college (small college with not much else to do), was to take kids who had never heard of it out in the field near the college and tell them to be very quiet and then leave them out there to walk back. It wasn't very far, but it made a nice little walk. :)

And, yes, it was at night.

That's a great trick to play on anyone who has never been in the outdoors. Best to do at night with flashlights.....too funny

yes when i was a cub scout, they take you out at night into the woods and tell you to tap a paper bag and the snipe will run into it, but its not real you cant catch them, its somthing that they have been doing for years it is tradition.
