1/4 is .25 So, what you do is divived one by four. Then, you get .25 To turn this into a decimal you are going to move the decimal point over 2 to the right. (If you wanted to turn a percent into a decimal you move the decimal point 2 to the left)

No...

1/4 would equal 25%, but it wouldn't become .2- that's 20% 1/4 as a decimal is .25

1/4 is 25%

Look at it this way the "/" implies division, so you have 1 divided by 4.

or 1.00 divided by 4, well you probably know that 100 divided by 4 is 25. So if you divide 1 by 4, you just need to move your decimal point to the left two places and you have 0.25.

The % sign means you have to move the decimal point in 0.25 to the right 2 places WHEN YOU USE THE % SIGN.

So 0.25 will be 25%, 0.10 will be 10%, and on and on.

Good Luck!!!

to convert and fraction into percentage, you have to multiply the fraction with 100.
example: 1/4 x 100 = 25%
1/2 x 100 = 50%
1/8 x 100 = 12.5%
hope u got the logic.
