Well try to be more specific, I can't give you just one person, do you want an actor, a president, someone from the civil war, or a bussiness man? If I where you I'd try doing it on someone who lived in a time that interests you. Try the 1800's or one of the presidents. But don't say what everyone else says, try to find the facts that most people don't know. Make them seem like real people, not historical figures of the past that you only know because they built the panama canal, or said something, make seem like a person who could be your neighbor. Good luck.

4. Elvis Presley
5. Franklin D. Roosevelt
6. William Randolf Hearst
7. Henry Ford
8. Abraham Lincoln

I would personally do either Elvis Presley, or the Wright Brothers. Elvis revolutionised music, and i think he would be interesting to most ppl. The wright brothers invented the airplane- one of the most amazing things we have today .

Meriweather Lewis (read "Undaunted Courage") has a remarkable story

Also Winfield Scott (read "Gone for Soldiers" by Jeff Shaara to start) who was in the War of 1812, won the US war vs Mexico and was still in gov't service at the start of the Civil War.
