Hi, can you please help me think of hobbies that wealthy people might do - I'm thinking coin collecting, stamps, antique map collecting, etc??

Very wealthy people who collect things use agents to do the actual work. You will find many of them at charity functions where lots of money is raised, such as $l,000 a plate dinners. I have heard of $10,000 a plate dinners for political fund raisers.

They also spend a lot of time at very high class hotels, and they are usually driven to and from their private planes by personal drivers. The wealthiest people in the world love their work so much they spend a lot of time in offices, and on the job (Oprah, Bill Gates).

The younger set of wealthy, mostly party with other of their own kind, or shop in the most exclusive stores, such as Tiffany and Bold in Gold. Those places have greeters at the door and only let in people who can afford to shop there.

I am not wealthy nor a blue blood but I can give you some suggestions since I have asked a similar question on hobbies.

Now I can tell you what the rich people do; they golf, play polo, sailing, and yatching. They are not neccessarily collectors. If you want to collect, you can collect coins and/or stamps. Also old edition books make a good collection for a rich person. You can also be crafty and make jewelry with soldering and fine gems. You can also make watches. There should be a place locally where you can take lessons. Collecting antiques is another great hobby as well as refurbishing them.

I hope this all helps.

Coin collecting used to be "the hobby of kings" but today anyone can be active in the hobby.

How about old art masterpieces.

Well... given that this IS the height of the yatching season... I find it difficult to recall those hobbies with which we amuse ourselves during the winter season at the estate.

We enjoy Stalking, collecting wine, building Ships in Bottles, raising hounds and corgies... we also enjoy boffing the chambermaids.

I would suggest playing polo. The whole atmosphere is stuffy. Another good one is yachting...only rich people can afford a yacht.

Nah, they don't collect things. They're too busy sailing, yachting, horseback riding and shopping.
