Because its the women who are made out to be the fools in affairs. Men enter them only for the sex and majority of them never ever had the intention of leaving their families for some woman. Men will lie cheat, do whatever to keep the woman in the relationship knowing damn well he never means a word he says but knows his lies work real well. The woman gets emotionally involved much more than any guy and thus when the breakup occurs the woman is let down and feels humiliated due to a guy that returns to his family and apologizes til the cows come home and the woman gets nothing.

It sounds like you are asking why a woman becomes such a B**** when she finds out her man is cheating and then becomes even worse during the breakup? I hope I have this right. My feelings since it has happened to me with my ex. If you want to act a fool and mess around then I will treat you like the fool you are. Simple lesson: If you are that unhappy in a relationship, don't cheat >>>GET OUT OF IT. Don't waste our time. Life's to short to put up with some idiot who wants to chance bringing home some incurable disease. As far as I am concerned to either of the next 2 things should happen to a man that cheats on his wife: 1) castration 2) 1 yr. mandatory prison time. Make the mistake worth their time.. by the way this goes for women to minus the castration.

Because no matter what the thought is that you will always be there---and when you break it off, women can get pretty mean, and a lot of times they can get money, jewelry and what not just so that the cheater will keep them quiet. It is a control and manipulation game. Once you are hooked, then it is on for control, and manipulation. It is sad really however this is the way that some people think and act. I guess it puts a different perspective on the cheating game huh??!!!

Women are vindictive in a break up whether it be extramarital or not if the breakup is not their idea. If you are married though, you should be keeping your pants zipped. You deserve what ever consequences you are getting.

OK, if it was her that had the affair, then she needs someone else to blame, its an odd thing that happens to them in times of extreme guilt and shame.
If you had the affair, then take it on the chin, you deserve it. Just get out of her face either way. You both can't tolerate each other.

It is more appropriate to assume that the genetic factor is in play in this type of personality behavior. Not all women are vindictive in the case of an extramarital affair. It is only women who have recieved a selected X chromosome from the maternal side or the paternal side as explained here in Turner's Syndrome.
As stated here, refering to your wife's parents and whether her mother was monogamous or not (referring to half-siblings)
"To explain this phenomenon, Moore and Haig proposed that during embryonic growth it might be in the paternally derived copy's interest to demand more of the mother than the maternally derived copy.
The reason? If the mother is likely to produce children by more than one father, her offspring will be less related to each other than if the mother was monogamous.
A baby that under these circumstances places extreme demands on its mother may disadvantage her future offspring. But these future offspring will be step-siblings and thus less likely to share genes than full siblings. Confronted with this tactic, the maternal copy's best strategy is to switch off.
Monogamy is rare in animals, even in humans. Of the 1,154 human societies documented in the Ethnographic Atlas, 1,073 practice some form of polygyny in which females may have children by more than one male.
Genomic conflict is one cost of infidelity.Other embryonic growth genes show similar imprinting effects, and the conflict theory has received broad support.
But how can the conflict theory explain the observations of the powerful role that genomic imprinting plays in Turner's syndrome? The X and y chromosomes are the sex-determining chromosomes in mammals. (Girls normally receive two X chromosomes, one from each parent. Boys receive an X from their mother and a Y chromosome from their father.) "
And state here referring to her(your wife) as the result of her genetic imprinting and whether she receive it from her mom's side.
"Turner's syndrome arises when a girl receives only one X chromosome. If it comes from the mother, the girl, among other things, is likely to be socially disruptive, behaviour that most parents will unhesitatingly recognise as normal in little boys. If she receives her X chromosomes from the father, however, her behaviour is closer to normal for that of a girl. Little girls indeed are Daddy's little girls."

Think of a marriage as a business partnership. One of the partners breaches the contract the other partner takes that person DOWN, all's fair in love and war. When you CHOOSE to cheat on your marriage you should be willing to withstand the consequences of your actions.
