My girlfriend has a lot of sports cards (2,500+) that we are looking to sell. Neither of us have the time or knowledge to go through every single card and find its value to sell it. We also don't have a large amount of money, but I would be willing to get it appraised if it meant getting more money for it. I want to sell them fairly fast (1 year or sooner). Any suggestions?

I realize ebay is a good place to sell them, And I think it is going to take a little longer then an "afternoon" to sort through 2,500+ sports cards and get prices.

Go threw ebay. sell them in lots or even single cards if the are any big names. Try looking on there to get an Idea.

Ebay is your best bet. It's not hard or expensive to sell them online and then you can control how much you get for them; you can start at a good price and hope that people bid higher and you can sell the cheaper ones in bulk and get more money for them than if you would sell them individually. You'll also get more money on ebay than if you sold them to a card store. You might want to check on ebay and see if the cards you have are being sold right now and how much people are getting for them.

honestly, if you do not have: good old cards (up to '60s)
big name rookies, superstar autographed/ ltd ed cards
or something "special", 2500 cards wont be worth much, especially if you are not willing to spend an afternoon to sort them.

ebay is your best bet.
