being a credit counselor for 20 years, $2000 a month, or $500 per week can make you rich or poor depending on if you have children to support, your living expenses, style of living, amount of debt, if any and taxes, if you have to pay out of the $2000. Take $2000 then minus your rent, untilities, phone, car payment and insurance if any, gasosline, child care, food, home and out, laundry. Then you have health insurance, haircuts, nails, movies and we haven't even broken the sound barrier yet. Everyone should do a budget and not worry if they are rich or poor. If you live at home and have $24,000 a year for yourself seek the help of a financial planner and make your money grow so you will be rich some day. I hope this helped you and anyone reading because I've seen and heard just about everything through my years of counseling. Money is the root of all evil and i'm rooting for it........yea....ii am. good luck..

Are you bragging or complaining? I know a family of 5 who live on a lot less than 2000 per month.

Well on average you're not poor. Most people would love to have that. But i do think you're considered working class which is just above lower class....
