I am trying to find a free and safe FTP server but I dont know one that I can trust does anyone no of one?

Core FTP is what I use and it's simple and easy to use. Don't need to be a pro. I know I'm not one!lol

Linux or FreeBSD OS can be gotten for free (or low cost) and include an ftp server (ftpd). Or you can likely find a free FTP server for Windows (did you try a web search?). If your server is on a private IP behind a router, you need to forward port 21 and possibly port 20 (depending whether active or passive ftp). And if your server is on a router behind DSL you might have mtu issues unless your router properly handles that, or you set your server LAN nic to mtu of PPPoE (max mtu of PPPoE is 1492). There are dynamic DNS services that can resolve a static name to your public IP, even if you have dynamic IP.
