If possible cost and time? I love this boy like he was my own, His real father is not in the picture and nor does he want to be. We have no way of finding him. Never paid child support either. From my understanding he tortured him also ( MENTALLY). This boy looks to me like his father and Dad. I want him to grow up knowing he IS MY son. I want him to bear my last name and be proud to have it which he really wants. Someone please help my son and I. We do not have alot of money and I have issues in my household that make money severely tight. We are really looking forward to your answers. Thank you for your time and replies......................

Sounds like a great thing..that your wife's son is so much a part of your family.
I would go to the courthouse, and get information on legal adoption. Some states are tougher than others. Some require that the biological father SIGN OFF on his rights, and some dont.
You may be able to do this all without an attorney...again Depending on the state you live in.

it depends where in the world you are if you are in england and money is a struggle then there are solicitors who wil take you on under legal aid but i cant help you if you are overseas or in america
