First I want to say, school didn't help me get to any place I am today. I graduated. I was 8 months pregnant. I was a good school girl. I got A's and B's, and the teachers loved me. I was shy and sweet, never mean to anyone. I had cool friends but I wasn't the most popular. None of this stuff mattered.
It's funny. People who are still in school think all those things matter, but they don't. And EVERYBODY figures this out after they get out of school and out on their own. I am who I am today because of my family, friends, husband, kid, and even my enemeys. What they have showed me in life is what made me who I really am. My education/popularity didn't have a thing to do with "me" and who I am today.
The world makes you the person you are, not school............

The friends/connections/popularity will get your foot in the door, what you learned in high school/your education will keep your foot out of your mouth.
I'm still in high school, and they keep telling us that the friends/connections you make will be what make you successful, but i believe what i wrote above.
No one wants to sabotage their business by hiring a dumb @#*! who knows nothing, even if they're their best friend.

the only person who helped me become the young women i am today is my mother.
iv learned more now then i did at school and im still learning new things ,
i add loads of Friends in school ,miss popularity , you get older they seem to drift awy then you end up with new friends

Hard work and perseverance. There really isn't a substitute. I know a lot of people who got their jobs through connections. They are the lost people. They don't know what they're doing and everyone despises them
