I am a Muslim. I am not converting to any other religion but I do understand your position. I majored in Religious Studies in school and basically believe that almost all religions have one thing in common. They all believe in God and have devotional rituals that show their appreciation to God. Granted I am not a devout Muslim but I do believe in the same ideals as most Muslims.
I must say, you trully trully trully are a brave woman. More power to you. I just ask that you use your knowledge of the Islamic faith and your conversion to the Jewish faith to help do your part in bringing some peace between the two faiths... since you understand and have a relation to both.
Shalom le kol ha'olam

Born and raised in America and thus being allowed to choose which religion I wish to be, I say go for it. If you feel strongly about converting, then you should do it.

Being blessed by God with free will, all persons have a right to believe and worship as they wish or not worship if they do not wish.
