Mine's made of wood. all I have to worry about is termites

No.
Rust is caused by oxidation. As long as the metal in within your body, free oxygen does not get a chance to react with it to cause rust.
Additionally, most metal rods and plates used surgically are either non-ferous, or stainless steel, so even if exposed to oxygen, they would not rust.

The plates they use for medical purposes are either stainless steel or titanium. Neither will rust.

My brother had a staple put in his chest during a surgery and its made out of Titanium so it never rusts. They probably do something similar for heads

He died decades later when he was 84yrs old
No they do NOT rust.
Why? Because they are bathed in the solutions that keep our brains from going'rusty'

Far as I know, those steel plates are hypoallergenic stainless steel. They won't rust.

impossible they are not directly metal metal's in order to rust need some sort of oxidation to take place for instance be exposed to oxygen so you shall be o.k.

Actually the real answer is YES it can rust and that is why some people are reheads..................

They're made of titanium, so they don't rust. Still hurt like hell though!
