Talk to your mom. Thats what moms are for. I can't believe in this day and age you are riding a pillow.

Let me tell you this, as much as you may not want to, honesty is always best. You should tell your mom that you want to wear tampons. The worst that can happen is that she will ask if you are having sex yet-- and if you are, and are honest about it-- it wouldn't make sense to tell you no. If you are not having sex, then you should explain why you want to wear the tampon--you have a valid reason to want to wear one! This way, there is no sneaking around. If you are scared to tell her that you want to try them out, then it will only be worse to have the talk about actually wanting to wear them. And you would also have to explain the "how do you know you like them"--which would probably lead to a lie that you borrowed one from a friend. This little issue is not worth a bunch of lies.
If you decide that you like them, you will probably be scared to tell her, and just keep taking them from her until she finds out--Then, she WILL have a reason to be upset with you.

i would just stick with wearing a heavy pad for your test - you can never be too sure if a tampon will leak during your test, and why should you have to double up w/ a tampon and pad, when you can just wear a pad?? plus, tampons can be hard to put in your first time. i would imagine that if you told your mom you wanted to wear tampons, she would be ok with that - and would probably help you pick out a good brand. plus, if you buy a box of tampons it comes with instructions to help you out. i wouldn't just take your mom's tampon and try it out, b/c they're hard to get in if you don't know how - if you don't have the instructions or someone to tell/show you.

you don't say how old you are but personally using tampons for the first time can be painful - try to practice! A pad & a tampon should cover you for the duration of the test. Good luck!

I think you should just tell your mom. Taking a tampon behind her back will create distrust, and you want her to trust you to come to her with things so that when you want things from her later, she'll be more likely to say yes. If she says no, you can just use a maxi pad, but I do think the tampon and pad combo are your best bet.

If you have never worn a tampon, I wouldnt recommend it. What you can do though is use an overnight pad which will give you better coverage. You can also buy Depends... they do make pads. They are quite big I admit, but if you are worried about leaking, that would be the way to go.

Well when I go to school, for about 8 hours, and I'm on my period, I just wear a thick one, very thick. Then usually if you're worried about maybe it "going through" just ask your friends if they see anything. Bring a jacket in case it does, and a change in shorts/pants/jeans, whatever.
Don't try tampons just because of this test.
You're friends can't laugh at you, because well soon enough they will start theirs or already have them and are worried themselves. Good luck on the test, and oh...
USE THEM WHEN YOU ARE READY!

Read the box instrucitons on inserting it. You should probably just tell your mom but thats your decision... And usually 4-5 hours if fine but not longer than that. Most packages have instructions or other information on tss and how long you should wear them. But if you don't want to risk it just talk to your mom.

If your mom knows that you have a heavy menstrual flow, you shouldn't be afraid to ask her about it. I personally think that you should wear both. Don't want to take any chances, right? But if you do bleed through, and blood gets on your clothes, peroxide gets blood out of clothes. Good luck on your test!

I dont' think you should wear a tampon. Frankly there are a lot of health issues with them and if you are a virgin they compromise your virginity. Also if your mother doesn't want you to wear one then you need to respect her and not wear it.
Instead get some of the very thick pads and wear that. I'm sure you will be fine.
God Bless!
