I live in the country, so "nature" is a big part of my life. I work in the city and I'm thankful to get home EVERY DAY. Especially when I pull into my driveway and see a rabbit run in one direction and a turkey run in the other.
Yesterday I saw a threesome in my goldfish pond. A large female frog floating with two smaller male frogs refusing to let her go.
I also saw my first Rufus-Sided Towhee for the season yesterday.
But nature at its greatest? Hmmm, that's a hard one. Maybe the night I laid on my back in my yard and watched the Northern Lights/Aurora Borialis. Or maybe the day I was at our camp (which is even deeper in the country) and saw thousands of robins come in to roost on our mountain, obviously taking a much needed rest from migration. Or the on-in-a-lifetime meteorite shower we got up at 3 in the morning to watch in the freezing cold but was worth it because there were so many it looked like a light show.
Thanks for making me remember......

The last time I experience nature was a few weeks ago when I went hiking with my family! We went to a nature center and we took my niece to look for Peter Pan in the woods!

We live in the country so everyday is a different experience. Today a big male Canadian goose kept honking at me until I took corn down to the creek so he and his mate could eat. Last night the sky was clear and beautiful and the tree frogs were singing like crazy.

I think almost everyday. I live in a crowded area/city, but at night when the skies are clearer and not raining, I like to lay outside and read or something...Or just stare at the sky for a while. It's beautiful.

Each and every spring. Plus I live in a city that celebrates the spring with the addition of fountains. Life is everywhere...you just have to be open to look.

A few months ago when the wind from hell came through our town and knocked down tons of trees and parts of homes went flying around. It was not a tornado. We live in a valley with mountains all around us.

2 weeks ago, saturday.
The sunrise was BLOOD RED, literally.
And then, 2 hours later, it started pouring buckets.
