I think they do. I practical sense, I have the following fishes which I have seen sometimes get angry or upset on me or their own tank environment for different reasons:

1. Flower Horn
2. Oscars
3. Arowana
4. Characidae

I generally keep my hand away from the tank when these guys looks like upset and angry.

I don't know if they are capable of "anger" in the sense of human emotions, but some fish are territorial (will defend an area) or will defend a mate or eggs, so in a way you might consider this being "angry" at another fish that comes too close. Some will attack, others, like bettas, will flare or puff up to appear threatening. To them, though, it's just a matter of survival.

I consider myself pretty educated in fish. And I know for a fact that fish do not only have 3 second memories! ...

And yes, I think fish can get angry.

I don't know if you'd call it angry but I had a tank of different types of tropical fish, there was one who always seemed to be barging into the other fish. He then started singling them out and he'd be constantly following and pestering them and pushing them against the glass. One by one they started dying and he was still as fit as a fiddle. There was no evidence of disease, although we couldn't rule it out and he might just have been lucky. All I know is once we put him in there with them he just wouldn't leave them alone. If fish can be bullies he was definitely one!

If they're left to themselves, I don't think so. The smaller fish in the home aquariums, swim, and hide in their treasures, and sleep. The larger fish in the public aquariums, they have been known to get aggressive towards people and handlers coming to close. Or if they are tired and expected to perform too much. The smaller fish, I don't think they get angry.

Fish do have emotions. They can be in love, they can be bored, they can be something akin to happy.

The closest thing to angry is probably territorial or aggressive.
Don't think fish are without emotions.

They get irritated and snap. But short memories...so it doesn't last. Proof? Check out what happens when one of the other fish bumps into my Jack Dempsey :)
But he forgets about it too quick. So yeah..they get angry, but don't hold much of a grudge :)

I think so, I think fish have temperments just like humans. I use to have a beta fish name Bob. Sometimes he would be mean to me. I would try to change his water and he would try to bite me. And sometimes I could go to the bowl and make fish faces at him and he would "play" with me back. So yes fish get mad, I think they get happy to.

Yes. Example: If you put a fish into a tank with nothing around it it will get bored and it might refuse to eat. (Hey, I think they can even die of depression XD)
