I'm going for a week May 23-30. I am booked for Wen and Thurs @ the Hard Rock and @ the Rio for Sat-Wen. I was priced out of the HR due to the price $599. So I'm looking for a place that to hang for the night for a single 30 year old guy traveling alone.

This would be my choice, a room in the Luxor can be got for $159 which is good but not near as nice as the venetian gigantic 700sq foot+ suite.

1) you can stay up all night.....Vegas is 24/7/365 and 366 every four years.
2)Behind the Rio, there is the Gold Coast Hotel., very cheap rooms and the best kept secret restaurant in Vegas: The Cortez Room,. Great food at very very reasonable price
The hotel is part of the Coast Casinos own by Boyd Corp.

want to save $$?? Go to a place called Sommerset House, it's a block off the strip in a building made in like the 60's. Looks like a cheap motel, but it's quite clean w/good staff. Very cheap comparably speaking to other hotels in the area since you're travelling alone. Can save $ and use for other better things.

Since Friday and Saturday nights are high traffic and high priced nights you will probably need to shop for a place off the strip. Off Strip hotels like the Orleans, Gold Coast and name brand hotels like Best Western are your best bet for a cheap room. Or, try the Circus Circus, Rivera, or Sahara at the north end of the strip. sounds strange but.... go to ebay and search for Vegas Fairfield Grand Desert. People who own time share points sell these great rooms for cheap (for Vegas) I have stayed there and the rooms are fantastic and only a short walk or shuttle to casinos.

go to the luxor and see deap sea 3-D its facinating and not too long about and hour and a half maybee and stay at the luxor and do the rides there tuns of fun . and there rooms arnt all that bad , and its around the strip!
