well really dreams only last a few seconds. Dreams just are in your subconcious. One time i dozed off and had a dream. It must be normal because when i was listening to music once all of a sudden a president started singing. My thoughts on this are that when u lose your attention taht you start to doze and dream. It's totally normal!

The R.E.M cycle is a normal function of the brain. If you really didn't dream when asleep this would indicate a brain abnormality of some kind. However, we never remember most of our dreams and some never remember any of them. My guess is you dream but don't remember.

Don't drink alcohol...it interferes with a good nights rest. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you. It might help to go to sleep consistently around the same time each night. Are you getting your full eight hours?
