I thought I had heard about some benign tumors due to the radiation. The frequency band used by cell phones definitely affects our bodies, but I don't know if there have been conclusive studies on dangerous effects. They are fairly low powered. I found this link:

They make you be able to communicate with others more easily. They make your pants or purse weigh slightly more, and if they have games they can keep you from being bored. And they can take pictures. There are no physiological effects of cell phones on people. There is absolutely no evidence at all to suggest otehrwise

they make you have more problems since you're handling more than you should when people call you with their problems or other stuff.
