Who are you to judge what's right and what's wrong? Doesn't your Bible tell you to leave all the judging to God, and let your fellow human beings be?

I have NOT reported you as your question was interesting.
You best choice in understanding homosexuality is to read the book "What the Bible really says about homosexualtiy" written by a Catholic priest.
Sodom and Gomorrah's sin was being inhospitable to strangers. That was a very big taboo in a society at that time. (Especially any roving community - which is off the subject.)
Being homosexual serves a purpose in the community just as being heterosexual serves a purpose. It is a natural condition.
Before the (I think 1500's?) gay marriages were performed by the church.
Prohibition about being gay is not in the 10 commandments. But hanging about your neighbor's wife is. Is there some reason you personally are skating around that sin?
But - down to the bottom line. Your religion is just that. YOUR religion. No one else believes exactly as you do. So you must simply live YOUR live as you feel YOUR god wants you to. And your god is not into having you bother other people. Your god wants you to "show by example", not talk about it.

Just because a person has a different opinion than you does not make them illogical. I couldn't care less about your opinion on homosexuality, your sex life, or any dating you do. I don't understand why you think my personal life is your business, but to each his own. The whole Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve line is getting really old as well. And, if we're being honest, calling up such things as biblical characters to prove others are illogical is pretty dang funny. Please, tell me the logic in a female being created from a mans rib and then the two of them continuing on to populate the world. Really? There's logic in that argument? Anyway, you keep on living your Christian life, judging others like the bible says you should.....Oh, wait, it says you shouldn't. Don't preach to me until you master the subject matter yourself. You know what I think is extremely illogical? Reading the bible, and then picking and choosing what you will and will not actually follow, then condemning others if they don't make the choices you make. Have you ever mixed fabrics? Have you ever eaten shell fish? How about judged another (I can confirm you have done that one)? Any lust? Greed? Envy? Come on buddy, remember the whole line about he who is without sin casting the first stone? Maybe you should keep that in mind. I honor God by living a good life. I treat others well, I treat myself well. I refuse to live by a book written by man that is supposedly Gods word. Since when has mankind been so good that they would ever do such a thing accurately without putting in what they want? It's very naive to think otherwise. Worship your bible, pick and chose what you will and won't follow, condemn others and spread hate. Enjoy living your life in such a fashion. I, on the other hand, will continue to do what I have always done, and that is being the best person I can be to myself and others, honoring all of Gods creations. The greatest sin is to live in a way to make other people existance more difficult. Why would you do that?
Oooohhhh, how cute!! I just noticed you went through all of the effort of opening an account just to ask this question. Now I know why you are THE authority on logic. Ha.

Hi there.
I happened to see this question and it really drew my attention. I am a Christian and I did not honor my parents last week. I also took a pen home from work and haven't returned it. That's two commandments I have broken. Are you going to condemn me also?
Many times we are accused of being Judgemental Nazis and I am afraid you appear that way.
There is another verse I would like to share before I go away.
Pro 6:16 These six [things] doth the LORD hate: yea, seven [are] an abomination unto him:
Pro 6:17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
Pro 6:18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
Pro 6:19 A false witness [that] speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
We will be judged by the same manner we judge others.

Ha, I'm the illogical one.... (rolls eyes) That seriously was one of my questions not long ago, why can't gays marry when infertile folks can?"
You're the one who is being illogical. There is no reason to hate others and deny them rights just because that's what some guy said in a book report (homily).
What the fcuk could possibly be wrong with being gay? It is a natural, healthy, completely normal aspect of human (and many other animals) sexuality.
If you're so logical, give me a real reason (not based on religion or hatred) for why gays should not be treated as decent human beings.

You know the bible teaches parables right? And you know Jesus was infamous for telling them right? How else do you get a point across to naive, immature children? You tell them stories..hence why Aesops fables and Grimms fairy tales came about. They get a point across without getting "too deep" and over one's head. Now..don't you think this whole Adam and Eve story is just a parable to how the world was REALLY created, probably because "God" (if such a being exists) probably thought that we, as humans, were much like those feeble minded and naive children and we coudln't possibly understand the complexity of existence. Hell, we can't even understand the complexity of GOD, and you're gonna be the one to be SO self righteous and proclaim that YOU know what GOD wants? Yeah..oOOOOOOk then.
So...then wouldn't it make sense that this whole Adam and Eve story was nothing more than a parable? Don't take it so freakin literally. You can't pick and choose "literal" expressions in the bible. If you WANT to, then you need to give up your microwave, your contacts or eyeglasses, your air conditioner, your car, any form of electronics, an electric can opener, say bye bye to Red Lobster (eating shellfish is considered an abomination in the same area of scripture asy you proclaim homosexuality is) and also you might wanna consider joining a nudist colony, because all your clothes have got to go too (wearing fabric of mixed threads is considered an abomination too, in the same context as the shellfish..look it up)
The other stuff..well, if you're proclaiming that homosexuality is against the bible because it's not "natural"..well, like I said, neither is your microwave, your contacts or eyeglasses, your air conditioner, your car, or electronics all together. God help you if you have any artificical limbs or a pacemaker too..apprarently God didn't want medical science and medical technology to be "natural" either.

The bible is a book. Thats it plain and simple. It also advises people to pluck out their eyes if they are offended. You seem to thing that pro-creation makes straight people better. Who the hell do you think has gay kids? Major flaw in your reasoning there. Which is surprising seeing as you are so damned logical.

All the guys above must have covered your queries Mr Biggot. I only want to plus sth else. About what you said that homosexuals ain't able to make children think about it again. A scientist in Newcastle has found a way to produce sperm from the bones marrow and then we can have our biological children too.
PS: Stop 'smoking' especially with your ears. Anger ain't at all good.

Yea. And I'll bet you don't eat shellfish or that you don't wear garments made of blended fabrics.
As for Adam & Eve, I'll bet there was alot of incest going on in Eden.
