Depends--were you gay when you checked it out?
And where does someone at the circulation desk get off giving unsolicited opinions on the customers' sexual preference based on their choice of reading material? Just as "no one was ever raped by a book" (wish I could credit the quote!), I seriously doubt that anyone was ever made gay by one.
Ignore it--and, by the way, enjoy the book!

I'd report that librarian. What a ridiculous thing to say. She or He should be encouraging the mind-broadening effects of reading all different types of books. Also stereotyping is pretty unprofessional.

lmao, nah doesn't matter what the librarian says, you can read whatever type of books you want...you know, unless you actually ARE gay...or a woman...

You should make a return, right in the book, know what I mean, say no more.

If some bookish cow tried to stereotype me or my book I'd have slapped her in the face with it.
