How can I ship a package anonymously?

I am wondering how I can ship a package (less than a pound) using one of the major US shipping companies without any traceback to me. I know it really sounds sketchy but it's for a gag gift. Thanks Yahoo!

Just make up a name. They don't check IDs

Take it to another city to mail it. Or mail it to a friend somewhere else and have them mail it.
