My guess is that the color does not serve any purpose.
It does not help them blend in like a tigers's stripes.
Since their feet are in the water most of the time and they eat vegetation it does not expose them to predators. Many kinds of ducks are brightly colored.
And if a hawk flies overhead they will quack to tell their neighbors that there is danger and they can fly away.
So I think the color of birds feet is just by chance.
Different types of seagulls have different colored feet, yellow, pink, red, black.

only some ducks do the white domestic ones many other ducks have grey or black feet ,
dont know why ,maybe its fashion

So that the ducklings can have a better chance of seeing their mom and where she is going.
Same with Chicken. Chicks will usually follow the hen's feet to see what she is digging up for them to eat.
