I don't understand why I stay so tired all of the time. I take vitamins, drink plenty of water, and get plenty of sleep (at least 8 hrs. a day). I do not follow a normal sleep schedule because of my job but I always get between 7-9 hrs. of sleep a night. Please help!!!

Get your thyroid function checked out. It may be underactive; if so, it's treatable. Try getting exercise, if you can muster up the energy. It can actually energize you. Are you depressed? Anemic? Is your sleep interrupted? There could be many reasons, and your doctor can help you find out the cause.

Are you getting restful sleep? You may be waking up many times during the night due to sleep apnea or another cause. Maybe you need a sleep study.

You may have chronic fatigue syndrome which literally drains ur energies. If there something worrying you that can tire you out also. Check your protein intake. If you are dieting. stop for awhile. Anemia may be another reason u are tired. if it persists check with your physician, as a simple blood test can rule out anemia. donalore_43

There are a variety of reasons why someone would stay tired all of the time so you would best be served by speaking with your doctor about this matter.
