I got a note on my door saying notice of trustees sale. I thought there was a process that was 90 days. They have my sale date on 5/18/07. They say they are a collecting agency at bottom of page for Countrywide. Is this legal. Is there anything I can do? Is this possible? I am in California. Thank you!!!

As long as they went to court and followed all of the procedures it is legal...contact an attorney to make sure all formalities have been followed.

You were served, by the taping on the door. Take it to an attorney. It's legal you are being foreclosed upon.

verify your settlement. Is there a paragraph that states even as possession of the resources takes position? that's regularly upon funding in Texas, yet in certain circumstances that is on a particular date - what does your settlement say? If the unique wording grow to be for "possession on September 1st" notwithstanding it wasn't replaced after the final date were given moved up, then possession is on September 1st. they could have their resources sale. (the stuff, no longer the residing house)

I find it hard to believe that you have not received a string of correspondence before the front door note. That's not the way it works.

You cannot just ignore important letters or phone calls that come to your house.
