Early 50's (When he was on the Sun Label) - "Mystery Train"
Mid 50's - "I Want You, I Need You, I Love You
Late 50s' - "One Night With You" (the "uncensored" version that includes the lyrics "is what I'm now paying for")

Early 60's "Return To Sender"

Mid 60's - "Love Letters"

Late 60's - "Suspicious Minds"

70's "Kentucky Rain"

It's hard to narrow these down! "Only The Strong Survive" and "I Washed My Hands In Muddy Water" were interesting picks by you. The first was originally done by Jerry Butler and the second by Stonewall Jackson, also covered by Johnny Rivers,

Personally I'd have to say Robert Plant. Led Zep is a top contender for the greatest band of all time and the duo of Page and Plant was and is untouchable. Page wrote most of the melodies and played them flawlessly and Plant wrote the lyrics and concepts and delivered then in a breathtaking manner. Freddie Mercury I do like but don't think he's the best vocalist of the last 60 years, in the top 10 or 15 yes but #1 I wouldn't say so in my personal opinion.. I never liked Elvis' music myself but he did revolutionise rock 'n' roll which then brought about the kind of rock I love so I respect him a lot for that and his voice did have an amazing quality. My top 3 considerations for greatest vocalist of the last 60 years are Robert Plant, Ronnie James Dio and Rob Halford. I think. But there are so many I could never totally choose one favourite.

The only Elvis song I really like is " one night with you" no idea which year it came from never heard it on the radio so I am assuming it was just an album filler track only know of it because my mum had an old vinyl album named Elvis,s 40 greatest hits think it was a K-TEL compilation or something similar
