the things you did do OR the things you did NOT do? Examples are good.

You (I/we/me) regret everything that you do not do. You think that the ''thing'' would have been amazing rather than staying in and typing on a computer.

That's an interesting thought. Because either way, we learn and hopefully grow. But to answer the question, choosing one, I'd probably say I regret some of the things I did. My example would be me getting involved in relationships too soon after one ended. Now I see that I needed the time to evaluate what went wrong and then maybe I would have been more selective before getting involved again.

The things I did NOT do.

All my life I've tried to do no harm to any person so I don't have a lot of regrets for what I did. However, there were lots of things I didn't do that I wish I could change. Many of those regrets involve not taking responsibility at times when I should have.

Interesting question!

I choose to regret nothing in my life as each thing done or not done serves a a learning experience which moves me closer to finding out who and what I really am.

Life is a series of choices and regardless if we perceive the choice as good or bad as long as we learn something from it, it is never something to regret.

The only possible room I see for regret is not making a choice because then your choice is inevitably made by someone or something else and you learn nothing and gain nothing from this. Except perhaps not to do that again.

So there you go something can be learned in all instances, hence no need for regret or guilt in our lives.

First, Alfie333, thank you for your service to our country.

Regrets of omission and commission.

29 years in law enforcement leaves me with many regrets. Most I couldn't do anything about at the time occurrence. Some I have rectified since moving into the private sector.

Most of the regrets that remain with me will not be taken care of until the Grand Master calls me from Labor to Refreshment. For these are friends and loved ones who have passed over.

Dealing with life's givings are sought in Daily Devotionals in my home and with my family. It works for me.

In a way both. I told someone how I felt they didnt talk to me for ages, then they asked me out and I said no because I was nervous. And have regretted it ever since!

I only have one regret--marrying my first husband and staying with him for 6 years.

This example can stand for both. When i disobeyed my parents, I had regrets for doing what i did do to make me wish for what i didn't do. Do you get it? :-/
