I wish I knew,the funny thing is that this is a consistent pattern for them. In every area their decisions are the opposite of common sense. It's okay to kill a baby in the womb,but they hold candlelight vigils for convicted murderers. They want soldiers charged with murder for what are usually nothing worse than mistakes made in the heat of battle,but they freak if a guy at Gitmo gets a bruise during questioning. They want the second amendment repealed,even though abortion kills more in one week than guns will all year,and at least in the case of guns two thirds of those killed with them are criminals,the same cannot be said of abortions. The logic of the liberal mind is quite frankly a frightening thing,it is quite frankly the type of logic that made things like the killing fields of cambodia possible.

It's called pandering for a vote...in actuality they don't care one way or the other, they are consumed with percieved power and a deluded sense of self worth.
