I have always been insecure of my Asian slanted eyes. I have single eyelids, and a month ago, I took to using eyelid glue to make it seem like I have a natural double eyelid. It looks rather natural and my eyes look a little more opened. Before the eyelid glue, I always look half-asleep or squinting into the distance. And I HATE IT.

The shape of your eyes are part of your cultural heritage. . . celebrate that.
A person finds true beauty in what's reflected from those eyes. Changing the shape of eyes will not make a person more " cute " or " attractive ".
Look at some celebrates such as Barbara Streisand, Bette Middler, Jay Leno, Danny Devito...some have certain features or characteristics...yet are found to be very attractive still, welcoming personalities, liked, appreciated.
How a person conducts themselves, reflects of their heart, soul, humor, their self pride of grooming, how they carry themselves. . . that's what enhances a person to be seen as " attractive " .
Look at your mother and father now or when they were younger. Aren't they found to be attractive. See the truth in that.

I have big eyes and men have always seemed to take that as a sign that I'm innocent to the point of gullibility (which I am definitely not). So y'see? There are good and bad sides to everything.
I never even heard of eyelid glue and can't believe you'd do that to yourself. What would happen if you got it IN your eye? Why not just experiment with different styles of makeup? Personally I think the half-asleep look is hot on anybody. Ever hear of bedroom eyes?

If you read up on body language you will find that the size of the pupil shows how interested the person is in what they are looking at. The larger the pupil the more interested. This signal is unconsciously read by the other person.
That said there is a story

Attraction varies considerably, as a general principle a person finds someone like themselves the most attractive.

Guys like different things. Many men find Asian women exotic and beautiful! You are going to be attractive to the right man just the way you are. Why make yourself feel bad about a part of you that you can't change?
Also, as you get older, men care more about who you are as a person than just your looks. Strive to be a caring, compassionate person - that's far more attractive than anything else. If you like you, men will too.

Don't worry. I think it doesn't matter if your eyes are big or not.
Actully, I think people like slanted eyes. Kind of like an almond shape right? I think that's pretty. all girls are attractive as long as they don't have like 10 eyes. If you want to use eye glue you can but it's your choice. It doesn't matter to most people. And if anyone says your ugly then they are just jealous and racist. NEVER listen to people like that. They always are just so sad about them selves they go and pick on anyone else no matter how pretty the other people are. It doesn't matter how big your eyes are or not. Unless you have 10!! But you don't and I think your pretty. Unless you really do have 10 eyes.................. Good Luck!

We always seem to want what we can't have. It is your right to use whatever means possible to feel attractive. But, I think Asian women are some of the most beautiful in the world. I love Sandra Oh's eyes!

It really is a complete issue of personal preference. I have an asian friend and she apparently gets hit on all the time, and she has very asian eyes. I personally prefer less exotic/mysterious eyes, I go more for the bright, innocent eyes.

I don't think the big eyes thing applies to Asian girls, but putting on your eye make-up in a certain way can make your eyes look bigger if you want to try that..

no magazines, and the media just tell everyone that big eyes is more attractive, be proud of ur eyes, stop putting that glue crap on ur eyes, i've seen many pretty oriental, slanted eyes, its a very unique-shaped eye, it looks really good with a smokey-eye

Well, depends. If a girl has big, blue or brown eyes then that is pretty, but if she has huge, kinda dull colored eyes it looks odd becuase people pay attention to the radiant colors, if you dont have that color, then your eyes will just look huge. No offense.
