I told my girlfriend that her friend was right and as expected she didnt like that. (but it was the truth, my gf was the one who acted inappropately). How can I solve this...or approach this should it ever happen again. I should take my gf side, but this time she was really wrong about the whole situation...

whatever the argument was about you should have stayed out of the situation. eventually, your girlfriend would apologize to her friend. never get into two women arguments. things will workout.

This is up to you ... everyone says don't piss your lady off and agree with her etc and in most cases this could be true but if she did her friend wrong and you told her she did and this made her mad she already knew what she did was wrong. Women want you to tell them they are right but if in doing so someone else gets wronged how is that right a fight is a fight and a good relationship will have fights both of you have to yield not just one.

Approach her and tell her you understand she wanted you to support her but you didn't feel she was right and was just being and honest person apologize and ask her to try and reverse the situation what would she have done.

Good luck

PS: Their would be no dog house if we never ended up in the dog house right!

Is this matter that caused the problem in the first place, the difference between right and wrong, a matter of opinion, or is there a published and researched fact that makes one right and the other wrong?

If it is just a matter of opinion, there is no gurantee you are right either. In those cases, I'd leave the matter alone and stay neutral.

Otherwise, it is a matter of your girlfriend's personality. Some people could never be wrong - even when he/she is, and trying to prove otherwise is futile.

Also, is this matter THAT important? If not, you might just want to drop it. Trying to solve and decide who is right and wrong might do more harm than good.

Pick your fight, sort of thing.....

If she is wrong, then she is just wrong. She should be happy to have a boyfriend who cares about her enough to let her know when she is doing the wrong thing. I am sure she does not agree with absolutely everything YOU do. You shouldn't cuss her out for it, but you were right to tell her she was wrong.

By the way, what should you do if this occurs again? Tell her AGAIN! Since when is agreeing on all points with someone a relationship duty?

well i think you did the right thing by telling her the truth and if she gets mad at you for taking her friends side then just take her to a quiet place and explain everything to her and then maybe just maybe she will understand. good luck!!

tell her that she's wrong.. just because it's your gf doesn't mean you have to take sides.. you have your own opion right? if you think her friends right.. then say it.. and tell her why she's right.. maybe she'll understand

dude, unless you want to sleep in the doghouse, dont ever tell her that she is wrong, that is almost as bad as telling her the truth about those pants that make her look fat.

next time stay out of it. be conveniently unavailable for question. if you REALLY want to give her a piece of your mind, EXPECT her to be pissy! if you dont want her to be upset with you then dont say anything.
