Very doubtful.
Retired US Marine Lt. Col. North spent a great deal of time trying to destroy Manuel Noriega's government by all means necessary.
You have read about the Iran-Contra disgrace, haven't you?

I used to take orders from (then Major) North, and I helped overthrow Gen. Noriega -- still have some of his letterhead stationary somehwere in my office. The answer is a resounding "No, they were not friends."

How is it possible for the United States, a nation once viewed by the world as a protector of human rights, to have become a nation that condones torture? Look what they have done to our country! The Bush regime has no qualms about bending the Constitution and international law to fit its greedy needs. Its operating paradigm is that the ends justifies the means. We have Ollie North and his gang to thank for this.
