Well that is an individual taste to trim or shave the pubic area. I am assuming you mean the pubic area when you say down there. Down there means Pubic area. Look all men and women have pubic areas. Some shave and trim. In the summer being smooth is ok. But remember hair is there for a purpose in the Pubic area to help cool. So if you do shave or trim be sure to use Talc Powder to have cool and keep dry. You should air out your pubic area as much as you can but if you wear clothes during the summer then talc powder is the best to keep dry if you can not keep the Pubic area open to open air. Good Luck

You'll actually feel hotter without the hair there, as hair helps the air circulate and evaporate sweat to keep the skin cool and healthy. If you shave or trim close in the summer, you will get rashes, bumps, and zits. The area will be itchy and stinky. No harm, however, in trimming off the hair that might stick out from under your bathing suit if you're into Speedos. But leave as much as you can - wet sweaty clothes sticking to bare skin does not feel good.

If you want to trim or shave down there be aware of the "itchys" - 'cause you will certainly have them a few days after you shave or trim.

Yes; shorter pubic hair will keep you cooler, and is easier to keep clean and fresh.
