I have some CDs that were burned from a computer that had a virus on it. If I rip these burned CDs to my new computer, will I be putting the virus on my new computer?

Maybe.

Copy the files from CD to your desktop. Then, scan them with your anti-virus and delete any infected files.

The rest should be safe to open.

Not sure why people are saying to copy the files then scan them. Scan the files while they are still on the CD to see if they are infected.

Either way though, simply copying a file to your computer will NOT infect your machine. You need to actually run / open a file for it to infect your computer. So if you just copy it to your machine, even if it is infected, it won't hurt you. Of course you shouldn't do that as you may click on a file by accident.
