Why do SOME white ppl completely deny that whites have oppressed minoritys.....?

its always fascinating/annoying/hilarious that there are actually some white people (a relatively small group i think) that actually deny the opression of minorities in america, the world actually, and the fact that THESE ACTIONS HAVE contributed to the society we have today. for those that spew ignorant racist stereotypes- they'll say its the blacks' own fault for having a large percentage living in the ghettos or blame impoverished native american latinos for the state of their economy or blame the blacks and hispanics for drug problems and gangs and situations of the sort. yet rarely are these small groups educated enough to become aware that white ppl have invaded ever land on earth, brought illegal drugs into the ghettos to profit money while naive minoritys turn against one another, oppressed minorities for centuries,etc.im blk & i dont blame one side or the other. We are all responsible for the society we live in. its an action + response =result sort of thing..l8ter loves!

They are in denial!!! They actually believe that if they keep saying that they have not oppressed minorities, that they might one day believe it.

They know that the playing ground is not level, they know that we have been systematically excluded and denied rights that white are able to attain, without meeting the minimum requirements. I was always taught that I had to be twice as intelligent in order to compete, and during the course of my life, that has been true. In certain situations, I am the college educated one, and the co-worker either has just a high school diploma, or some college. Their relatives or friends get them in, and promote them, many times passing us over, we, (the more qualified) and giving it to the less qualified white. Doors are opened for whites that are sealed tightly to us.

Many non-whites are educated, some formally, some self-taught, and many are very successful. It is so funny when some whites make the gross generalization that all Blacks are on welfare, sell drugs, and are in prison, makes me wonder if they live under a rock, but again, they are in denial of the vast numbers of educated, successful, law-abiding Black people in the world.

Why can't they see all the whites on welfare, in prison, committing the most horrific crimes, dirt poor, and uneducated, can't speak, read or write the English language correctly. Why don't they ever address them?

I close by saying, MOST Blacks do not want hand-outs, do not want a job that we are not qualifed to have. White America, please do not GIVE us anything, except EQUALITY, treat us equal, that is all we ask!!!

i am the first to admit that white people have done wrong to people for many years(thousands). but you cannot blame your current social disorders on what anybody did 30,40, or 200 years ago. we did not design the culture that makes the ghetto a dangerous place to be. we did not create the gang life, or the "going to prison is a passage to manhood" cultures. even if a white man is supplying the drugs, it is black folks that are selling them in their communities. they are selling poison to their own children. all for an easy way through life, and to get the street cred to be called a "gangsta". it is the black people that are buying the guns and shooting each other over precieved insults. and it is your people that refuse to get an education when it is offered for free. because school is not COOL, and being smart and educated is not part of the hard gangsta life that is so importent to the culture. I am more in touch with my Native American roots than my European roots. i follow the medicine of the Native Americans and the religion of the Celts. the white man ahs done more to the Native Americans than he ever could even think of doing to the Black folk. the genocide of the Native people used some of the earliest forms of biological warfare ( blankets that were rubbed on whites that had smallpox were given to native communities to spread the disease.) then land was stolen and they were put onto reservations that did not have the things that the people needed to survive. after they (WE) found out that the Native people were genetically more prone to alocholism the government gave people free business liscense to open liquor stored on roads leading to the reservations. ... and alochol has done great harm to the people. BUT. the government can put the stores there. they cannot make the people buy the booze. the natives are starting to take responsibility for themselves and cleaning up their reservations and trying to take advantage of the public education system. they are making advances by realizeing that they are a soverign nation and can do things that are outside of the laws of the white man. they can HELP THEMSELVES. and they can work within the system to cause change. the white man cannot clean up the reservation, only the Indian can. the white man cannot clean up the Ghetto, only the Black man can do that. but when the black man tries to do that his own people turn on him, all him an "uncle tom" or a sellout. you can blame my ancestors for the hardships of your ancestors. but you cannot blame me for your failures as a community. for that you can only blame yourselves.

I have noticed this also. Notice that there are non stop "questions" about Al Sharpton being racist, but when it comes to the MANY WHITE Racist, they could care less. As long as it is not white people being oppressed then their response is "get over it".

They don't have to go all the way back to the Civil War since many of them consider that ancient history (hardly). They can go back to the 30s and read the Jim Crow laws that caused many blacks to become disadvantaged.
