Heck no. Ciara was born a female. Whoever told you that Ciara confirmed on Oprah that she was born a man and whoever she got it from LIED. Ciara is 100% female. I dont know why people are spreading mean and false rumors about Ciara being a man. Its such a shame that people are doing these ridiculous things

Hi there. Excellent question and real good one to get us all to think. First off, let me just say that there is no such thing as "homosexual" sin. What I mean by that is sin is sin is sin. It doesn't matter if one is homosexual or heterosexual. Sin is the same. Secondly, let's define our terms a little bit better. In speaking of homosexuality, one must distinguish between the person who experiences same sex attraction and the sexual act performed on the same sex. Same sex attraction is not a sin. Having same sex attraction is not a sin. Being a person with same sex attraction is not a sin. Sin has to do with one's moral choice, therefore, since it is clear most people do not choice to be attracted to the same sex, no one can assign moral culpability to the tendency itself. When speaking about sexual intercourse (please understand I am speaking from a Catholic point of view), there are two goods which must be respected or the person "misses the mark" - "sins" (the greek word for sin is "amartia" which means "off the mark" or "not on course"). The first is the unitive good, which consists in the union of the spouses... of a man and woman who are naturally complementary. The second is the procreative good, which means that the spouses are to have an open attitude toward the bearing of children. Also, as sexual intercourse should be about giving one's self to another, the proper place for this is in marriage, where one gives one's self to another completely, bodily, spiritually and emotionally in a bond and commitment for as long as both shall live. So, now to the question, would a hermaphrodite "female" be sinning by engaging in sexual intercourse with a female? Yes. Objectively, this would miss the mark. The context would not be the complete giving of one's self in a proper unitive act that is procreative in a marital union. Subjectively, no one can say how guilty this particular person is in the eyes of God. On a side note, the person asked if they were commiting homosexual sin for which there is no pardon. Actually that's not correct. There is plenty of mercy and grace and forgiveness available to all sinners so long as one does not reject God. There is pardon for sins. And I would certainly entrust this person to God's abundant mercy while also inviting that person to consider refraining from that sin. Who knows, if the person is genetically male, there might be legitament reason to condone an operation to regain the genitalia proper to the gender. But that is beyond my scope.
