I have a coin which is 1/10 of an ounce. Just wondered if anyone knows the value of it?

I don't own any but the value depends on the price of gold the day you sell it. Pick up a newspaper and in the financial section should be a list of values for precious metals. This will give you a ballpark figure. Remember dealers pay a little less. My last issue of Coin World lists gold on April 18 2007 as being $681.90 an ounce and the value on a one ounce Krugerrand having a value of $690.40. These are the London gold prices which kind of control the market.

Look up the price of gold.

They're generally sold by the content, unless the coin has some collector value of its own.

Last time I looked, it's been awhile, gold was somewhere @ 600 bucks an ounce, so you'd be at something like 60 bucks.

Of course a coin dealer's going to take a small cut off that.
