Computer does not recognise USB Device?

I accidentally washed my Ipod shuffle (the newer version) in the washing machine but pulled it out while it was still cycling. I tried to turn it on to see if it would work, and nothing. Then I used one of those air in a can things and still nothing. I plugged it in and my computer said that it can't recognize the USB device I plugged in.

What should I do??

Your Shuffle is dead. You could try opening it up and drying it out. Replace the battery, if possible. Make sure it is charged.

However, at this point your Shuffle is dead and that's why the computer doesn't recognize it as a USB device.
