First, NEVER call it astrology; its astronomy. Same with cosmetology/cosmology. Anyways, learning a bit of terminology will make it easier for you to read articles and enjoy the concepts of astronomy more.
So, there are serveral different types of astronomers, so you need to know exactly where your interest lies.
Here are a few examples:
Theoretical--math and physics
Modeling--computer modeling
Observational--radio, optical, infrared
And of course, there is a huge range of possibilities with those.
So, as a high school student I would recommend you take physics, calculus, statistics, and a course in computer programming. Unfortunately they aren't going to teach you the type of programming that astronomers use (IDL), but you can still apply the concepts that you learn. If possible, you might see if you can familarize yourself with a unix/linux computer.
You might also do some reading on your own. I wouldn't worry about reading textbooks until after you know calculus and physics, but there are some more recreational books that are thoroughly enjoyable to read. All of these should be easy to find at Barnes & Nobles or some similar store.
Try these books--I read all of them while I was in high school:
Elegant Universe by Brian Greene (one of my favorites)
Apha & Omega by Charles Seife
Simply Einstein: Relativiy Demystified by Richard Wolfson
Here are a couple of harder books in case the others are too easy:
Quintessence by Lawrence Krauss (this is not an easy read)
Quantum Reality by Nick Herbert (some of its quite old and proven false, but still fun to read. I only put it under the harder category because of the trouble of bending your mind around such concepts)
If you want a more textbook style novel try:
Instant Physics by Tony Rothman
I have pleny more books to recommend that are both easier and harder than the ones listed above (for example, Carl Sagan and Stephen Hawkings write some mainstream astronomy books for the public)
Clear Skies!

So he's satisfied and he thinks he's a winner, even as he lives in a tiny homestead he equipped through himself on land it really is paid off out contained in the nation-state, the position resources taxes are low. He works for a minimum salary interest and he saves up some hundred money a month into cheap charges, because he don't have something to spend it on. something human beings try to confirm out the thanks to develop right into a loser like he's.

Science and math all four years is a must, plus any other classes required by colleges that you are considering applying to. Contact your prospective colleges to ask about their specific admissions requirements.
