Even if the stain is old you can still try club soda, it will help lighten the stain. After using your carpet spotter, if the spot is still present, saturate with hydrogen peroxide or undiluted lemon juice. Wait 15 minutes and blot. Continue to apply and check your progress, just to be sure you aren't lightening the carpet.

I've spilled Hawaiian Punch on my beige colored carpet and had good success with Rug Doctor Spot & Stain remover. Just follow the directions - act sooner than later before it continues to set.

Lysol made a spray called Oxy-Magic which was great but I'm having trouble finding it now. So I soak up as much as possible with paper towels, then spray with Spray and Wash. Let set 15 minutes and then use a wet rag to scrub it. Repeat if necessary.

There is a product called "awsome" it cleans everything! I even use it in my steam cleaner. If you have a "dollar tree" store you can get it there. If not it is sold at wal-mart. Trust me it works great.
