There is probably nothing the OB is going to say to you to hold you back, at approx 16wks...unless you've had some other pregnancy complications... but if not, he/she isn't going to say a thing...

You can go. Get up, move your legs. Drink lot's of water, stay well hydrated, eat and sleep right and you should be okay.

Sorry for you and your husbands' loss. Tell your husband thank you...from me, for defending out country and doing what he and all of his counterparts do every single day.

Make the appoinment before taking a long trip like that.. I am in South Texas my family in Oklahoma.. When I was pregnant with my daughter I would get the ok to drive the 9 hours before the trip.. The doctor said that it is a good idea to do so.. That way if anything happens while on the trip I know what to tell any doctor I may have to see.. With you being 4 months it should be no problem to make the trip, but still make the appointment and get the doctors opinion.. Best of Luck, and Sorry for your loss...

A doctors check up should not be necessary as the worst time will be during and after the funeral (so it might be a good idea to get a reference to a doc in louisiana just in case of emergency). No one ever really knows how they are going to react at a tragic event like this try to stay calm if you can.

My condolences to your friends family and to you his friends. And thanks to him for serving our country and us. We do appreciate the sacrifice made.

No need unless you are considered high risk or there is something wrong. My docs always tel me not to do any extensive traveling after 34weeks. I am even flying from Spain to PA and back right at 34 weeks!

I am sorry about your loss. I support anyone who goes out everyday to risk their lives for our freedom. God Bless him and may he rest in peace!

You should be seeing your doctor regularly already... just give a call and see what they think. Bring water (like someone else mentioned) and some healthy snacks. Sorry to hear about your friend.

I'm sorry this has nothing to do with your question but... They set a funeral date for Willie already? I went to high school with him and would like to go to the funeral but the last I heard they have not set a date because his mom has not received his body yet. If you know the date please let me know. Thanks.
Rip lil will.

I wouldn't see why. If you're not having any problems & your other checks up have been fine, you shouldn't need to go to the doctor before going out of town.

You should be fine, just make sure to drink lots of water and get up to move around as much as possible to avoid swelling.
