WHAT ?

True we can not be in the position of ever having an unwanted child but it’s also true that these little babies have no voices of their own.

Others have to speak for the helpless babies and why shouldn't men defend their right to live?

These pro-abortion extremists forget they were once that tiny and helpless too.

And what of women past their child bearing years? By the same logic they too would not be allowed an opinion.

It’s a free country. You can’t tell anyone to just shut up here. Everyone gets a say on everything.

Prove me wrong.

I agree no one should be ousted from voting or being able to voice their opinions...
as for the abortion issue I agree that we all need to be the voice of child and save their lives.
What people dont realize is that the abortion issue that the pro/con issue seem to be about...have an underlying reason for being approved by gov't leaders...
Abortion is a multimillion dollar industry that many have their pockets open to...its bad enough that babies are aborted but the awful truth is that they are harvesting the organs and every other part and making millions on the body parts...if the pound was doing just that to dogs and cats people would find out and get balistic...yet not everyone knows or whats to know that the issue for the open pocket collectors is money...by selling eyes, pancreas, hearts, skin cells, livers, testicles and anything else that can be sold...so yes young man speak up and think about it...that child could be yours and would you want to have that done to your baby? not me. THe book that told this was "Women and Medical Ethics" and I obtained it at the UCDavis, CA library. What do you think invetrogestation is all about...oh and they tell women who are nearing minapause that they may have cancer and rip out the uterus they need to help the aborted babies along...this stuff has been going on since 1950.

First I'm going to start off by saying that I don't like the idea of an abortion so I agree with you saying that these babies don't have voices to defend themselves. HOWEVER I am only 18 years old and I have never been in this kind of situation. This, I feel, is the kind of situation where you might find you act differently once you are in it. So now I can say I don't think I'd get an abortion if I got pregnant but maybe if I was suddenly thrust into the situation where I was pregnant and unable to care for a child I might react in a way that would suprise even me and get an abortion. I really don't know. But when it comes down to it I feel that it is the choice of the pregnant women. I do feel once it gets past a certain point (where the fetus actually becomes a baby that can live on it's own) it is wrong. However if a girl wants an abortion while it is still a fetus it is the choice of the girl. Men can have an opinion but I don't think a man can force a girl to have the baby. The girl goes through 9 months of pregnancy, labor and birth. The man can help but the woman gets all the dirty work. This is why it should be her decision. What if a girl gets raped and can't bear the thought of this baby because of what happened to create it? Is it fair of a man to tell her she should have it anyway? As long as the abortion is done early enough in the pregnancy I feel that this is a woman's choice. A choice I as a girl may not agree with but it is still a choice, the choice of the girl who is carrying it not the man who can never understand what pregnancy, labor and birth are like. Men can have an opinion, they can share their opinion, they can advocate adoption (and by all means, if they can help say a life they should try to advocate but in the end it is the woman's decision) but they can not force a woman to do anything. Her body, her choice.
Also...I have recently heard of a case where a woman was harrased by extreme anti-abortion groups because she wanted an abortion because the doctor told her she would die if she had the baby (due to a disease she recently found out she has), so there are some cases where the woman may have to do it to protect herself.
That being said, I am only 18 and maybe I'm too young to know everything about this and have a well formed opinion.

What a load of bleeding heart nonsense! If you want to be a mommy, go get yourself a frilly dress, buy a doll and stop bothering people who can tell the difference between a fetus and a child. Better yet, get off your butt and adopt or do something tangible for a child who really needs your concern and help and stop hiding your silly agenda behind masses of tissue that you presume to speak for without any authorization or agreement. This is not an issue for PETA-like, soppy emotionalism. It is an issue that must be decided with reason by those living, breathing, thinking individuals who are best suited to make decisions regarding their own bodies and reproductive options, including the best interests of a potential child.

By the way, should you ever experience any condition that may affect your reproductive capabilities (prostate cancer, testicular cancer, etc.), make sure you get permission from a woman before you agree to any surgery that might render you sterile, even if your life is at risk. You know, those sperm you will no longer be producing contain the potential for life!

I think that at a personal level you should have whatever opinion you want to have. Example, if we were in a relationship and I became pregnant then you would definitely be entitled to participate in the discussions leading up to the decision to abort or not abort. Second example, if I am pregnant and you don't even know me -it is none of your business what I am doing. I believe that the federal government has more important things to do than to concern themselves with the content or lack of content of my uterus. It is part of my body and if God trusted me enough to give it to me then who the heck do you think you are? I do not think that abortion should be used as birth control and in my own life it has not been. However, I can imagine certain circumstances where I would totally support abortion - A few years back a friends daughter was brutally attacked and raped - she was l4 and was found to be pregnant from the attack - without so much as a blink we all supported that abortion. So I tell you it is personal - too personal for strangers to be making the decision. Thank you for your opinion. -k- Now you have heard mine.

those who say this ignore that on the different end of the 9 month (provide or take some) being pregnant is a human being which will, on usual, stay over 70 years, of which 18 the mummy and father are legally obligated to help the youngster. yet God forbid adult males have an opinion on that. you provides me each and each and every of the adult males who stroll far off from their youthful little ones, and that i will agree their jerks (to placed it mildly), yet enable's settle for it, the vast majority of abortions enables women to do precisely that, basically the youngster has surely no possibility at existence then.

If you were an unmarried poor woman who just happened to "trust" her manfriend not to make her pregnant, then after he'd left she found out she was pregnant and not able to care for an unexpected child what would you expect her to do? Go to a back street abortionist? Like we all did years ago? and risk our lives and probably lose our jobs after we became ill having a backstreet abortion?
No make it legal for the one carrying the pregnancy. Let it be their choice, you do not have to be an extremist to have a choice.

There are enough unwanted people in this world who feel terrible because they were not loved and turned into criminals....
The world 'dear sir' is overpopulated as it is.

Here's something for you to get your head around....

If MEN were the ones that got pregnany instead of women, you would IMMEDIATELY see unconditional access to contraception in this country.

Hell, if MEN were the ones to get pregnant, production in this country would come to a screeching halt, just from all the "call-in's" due to menstruation!!!!!

You want to help prevent abortions?

Campaign for unconditional access to contraception.

I completely agree with you.
It takes 2 people to create a baby, it should take 2 people to end it.
If a mother decides to give her baby up for adoption, she must have the father sign away his rights as well. So why is it ok then and not before? There is no baby with out a father!!

I agree with you. The man I'm dating got a woman pregnant 20 yrs ago when he was in college. She opted for an abortion, and even though he pleaded with her not to, he had no say in it and she went thru with it. He still, after all these years, grieves the death of his child. Men should definitely have a say in this!!!

You dont make the rules if you cant play the game. If men had to give birth there would be no babies. Stop trying to control women's lives!
