Is this some kind of new style? I see it often here. This morning was a first - a genuine bathrobe, in McDonalds. Her friend was also in clearly pajama-type bottoms. These two girls were probably 11-13, but I've seen older in my town out in public like this too. Bedroom slippers... the whole deal. What's up with this? I think it just looks sloppy - bringing the expression "trailer trash" to new heights, or at least validating the meaning and the label.

Yeah I've seen it too, and it DOES look slovenly. Can't believe they actually think its cute. And most of the time with these younger girls you see, you can usually see their idiot mothers nearby, and it makes me want to go up to them and ask, "Why would you allow your daughter to dress like such a slob and then come out in public?" Is it because she told you, MOM, ITS THE LATEST STYLE!? And God forbid you wouldn't say NO to something your little princess tells you she WANTS to do! I swear, next time I'm going to walk right up to one of them and say "Did you just crawl out of bed and were too lazy to get dressed?" Can't wait to hear the response.

I saw a lady at the dr office yesterday in bedroom slippers, but my dear Hicksville ain't the only place this is happening. I think people are taking comfortable a little too far don't you?? But, altho I have seen the bedroom bottoms I have never seen a bathrobe, did you by chance have a camera? Do these people know or care how they look.

I live in a smaller college town and I see this all the time. And I have been guilty of sometimes wearing obvious pajama bottoms - but with regular shirts and undergarments, and sandals, not houseshoes. I wouldn't wear them anywhere nice, but to Wal-Mart, McDonalds or just down to the convenience story, why not?

Do we live in the same town? One day I started counting how many people I saw wearing their pajamas. And it wasn't just to a fast food place...it was to grocery stores.

I even asked my hubby if he noticed it and he said yeah, but that we had never seen it before living where we live now. Maybe it is a new fad. Maybe people are just lazy.

Since I don't wear PJ's to bed, I guess you'd never catch me around town "in" them.

It does seem to be popular with 'tweens. I think "Your mother let you out of the house like that???" My mother would have had some serious issues if I tried that.
