Yes, sexual attraction has a lot of role to play in love during the teenage period. Physical aspects coupled with the games that the minds of the teenagers play wedded to the immediate socio-economic and cultural aspects act as the primary motivating factors.
Teenage is the period when a person grows up and learns to see the opposite sex as a typically 'sexual gratification object'.
Is is for this reason that we see most of the sexual crimes committed by teenagers.
While on one hand, it becomes well nigh impossible for the teenager to rein in his passions, infatuations and and also fantasies; on the other, he/she knows that there is no dearth of people who can satisfy the basic instincts.
This unholy trend can be controlled only when the teenagers are given proper sex education at the appropriate pre-teenage stage and also when the guardians of the teenagers keep an eagle's eye as to what their wards are doing covertly.

Yes, most teenage hook-ups are the result of hormones and sexual desire. Also the social aspect of having a boyfriend or girlfriend as a status symbol among teenagers, is also a huge factor.
Some relationships do last, only a few, will result in a stable and loving marriage. There are some teenagers who are mature, and wise enough beyond their years, to understand the emotional bonds in a true love.
These teens will care more about common interests and personality, rather than sex, money, and outside appearances. They will potentially find a suitable soulmate or be patient and hold out for someone special.
Alas, only a few teens are wise enough to do that.

love is the most intense and most complex emotion there is. in teenage years it is very difficult to make the diffrence between love and sexual attraction. it takes a lot of time to gain some serious experience in doing that, even though some people never get it. in that period, teenagers have a lot going on in their bodies and and they will tend to get carried away by their emotions, and mistaken love for something else. but still, teenagers experience love and in those cases, it's not just sexual attraction

It is partly sexual attraction, but the major aspect of love in a teenager is "S/he makes me feel so wonderful." This is an emotional feeling, not just sexual. It is focused on how the other person makes you feel.

Teenage love is usually based on insecurity. It comes about during a time when we are leaving the protection of our parents and seek a connection outside of the family. Some people never get beyond this level and their whole lives are based on satisifying their insecurity.

My definition of love has evolved over the years. I used to think it was a magical, almost unattainable, form of extremely strong affection and kinship. I also thought it was something that naturally "happened, " something we "fell into" without making a choice.
I now think that love is an act. It is the act of putting someone else's needs before one's own. In mutual love (the ideal relationship), this happens in both directions.
