Is there something electrical I should check?? It seems to want to run if I keep the switch engaged on crank mode...5.8ltr fuel injected.Has plenty of spark tries to run but only while cranking.

Fuel pump relay?
Fuel pump fuse? Hell, check ALL the fuses just to make sure.

there's a crank positioning sensor in the front of the crank shaft. once you've oil leak or dirt outfitted up round that section, the connector might want to get grimy. you are able to ought to get rid of the sensor, clean the connector and reinstall. the solenoid connects a voltage to the coil when you turn to "start", apparently when that isn't happening you have no voltage to the coil. jump a hot wire to the ingitioin wire on the coil from the positive side of the battery and it should stay running. have to disconnect jumper to shut it off, but that will tell you where to look. trace back from the coil to the switch to find where you lost your juice
