Well, I live in Kentucky!! For us here, it really depends on what part you live in. I live in the smack if Ky, so I do consider myself 'Southern'. Up North is another story...that's where all the businesses are, so they are kinda modern. Easterner's are kinda quiet...more subtle and to themselves...and the Westerner's is where all the camping and fishing places are....Recreation Heaven!!

It is really pretty in Kentucky. We have tons of different trees and flowers, and we love horses! I would say one of the best places in Kentucky is Bardstown. That's where Stephen Foster lived....The Kentucky Derby is placed (a little bit more North, though) and tons of down home people and food. You can go inside of Stephen Foster's home, tour it, and go to the family grave site....sounds kinda boring, I know, but it's really fun...once you are done there, you can go across the street....yes, in little ole' Ky, it is 'across the street') there is a great Restaurant called Kurtz. If you want a good hearty lunch or dinner, with great cooks and servers, there ya go! After you do those things...up the road a little, I would recommend that you troll down Downtown Bardstown.....great antique shops, and there is this barber shop...you know; the ones that you see in an old time movie with the spinning parlor thing....even if you need a little buzz, you'll feel right at home there!

Hope you come and see us!

For those of us that live in Indiana, Kentucky is the beginning of the south.
I've never lived in Ky, so I have no idea what it's like, but there's a reason I've never lived there.

i became into born and raised in Detroit yet I lived in Tennessee for 5 years and North Carolina for 12. We consistently seen Kentucky Southern. a pair of boarder cities seem greater Midwestern (Covington to illustrate), yet this is an exception.

I think so. Listen to Colonel Sander's language and accent for a KFC commercial from '69 and then you'll know. The killing is that HE'S FROM INDIANA!
