Centaurs can shoot them down, win in armed combat and maybe hand to hand to. only way I can see the monkeys winning is if they have AKs or other guns.

Lets look at the situation - we've got Centaurs shooting upwards and Winged Monkeys shooting and dropping things downwards.

The Centaurs have crossbows and large vulnerable horse bodies.

The Winged Monkeys have light javelins, petrol bombs, lime powder bombs (to blind) and nets.

The Winged Monkeys have the advantage as all they need to do is drop things and shoot from above working with gravity (come on, did you not remember Star Wars part 3, what happened to Anakin when he attacked from below...).

No doubt a few monkeys will be taken down, but they'll quickly drop the nets, tangling the centaurs, the lime powder will blind them, then they'll burn at shoot at the rest. The Winged Monkeys being evil things may put saddles on the Centaurs and enslave them - or just ride them into one and other and fly off at the last moment.

Come on people, just because Winged Monkeys haven't been graced by Harry Potter doesn't mean they should lose!

Flying Monkeys!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's assume from a previous face-off that winged monkeys can indeed drop rocks - I still maintain that the chances of actually hitting for damage are very slender. A better idea is that the Monkeys are carrying potion vials prepared by the Witch (she looked like a natural at Potions, Legilimancy, Evocations (fireballs) and Quidditch -really good on that broom, might have been a Firebolt. But I digress.) Pre-prepared potion vials with Sleeping tonics could be shaken over the dinosaurs at height with a splatter effect, or hurled directly like a Molotov Cocktail - breaking on impact the tonic inside would either coat one raptor or get several from splash effect. The dumb animals below - no matter how clever they are raptors are still dumb animals that operate mainly on instinct and cannot fly. Once the last velociraptor was asleep the flying monkeys would land and proceed to cut their throats or blind them - and we know they would be truly asleep because it is brought on by a magical effect. The monkeys are intelligent enough to follow verbal commands, self-aware enough to wear some clothing, and strong enough for two of them flying together to pick up one small twelve year old girl. (book, not movie.) They could easily carry quite a few potions, a spear, and a small dagger. The raptors on the other hand are land-based, do not understand magic, are not sentient (if that has its hallmark as being self-aware), and act on clever instinct. The smarter members may try to "play possum" when the first few pass out, but the monkeys would douse them anyway, and they would still be just as asleep when their throats get cut. Winner :Flying Monkeys (note that this scenario would have overcame the Cave Bears as well)

Agree with Dr. Jellyfish for slightly different reasons. Looking
at Centaurs I too see large body targets that tend to follow the dominant Alpha breeder. This is their weakness. Kill the
Alpha and there's no clear authority succession except in
trial by combat between adult studs for fertile mares. Until the
herd lead is liquidated the Centaurs can by waves of arrow
deny Winged Monkeys their aerial maneuver, scouting, and strafing. Centaur archery due to available pounds of pull allows a delivery that will pierce most shields and armour.

Their arrow kills at distance. Get close enough and bow use becomes a liability. The only recourse of Centaurs is to retreat in order to keep a killing field wide and unobstructed. Centaur strength is therefore large body arrow pull, raining destruction, and open area to manuver in force. The horn
bow glue composit construction and iron working reveals
limited technological base and resources. Their principal
population is mobile, nomadic, with subjucated lifeforms extending tribute of settlement smithing to Herd Overlords.

What is mainly known about these primates comes from 'Hollywood Oz, The All Knowing'. They wear ornate uniforms requiring infrastructure technology to design and manufacture. Their drill shows martial tradition and steady confidence. They do not throw poo but rather swing curved steel pike heads to slice open guts and throat jugular. Don't know how Dr. Jellyfish can credit these apes with 'petrol bombs' but agree their fortress stone construction gave them previous contact with lime powder, nets, and javelins are the forerunners of heavy pikes seen at guard changes (the pike is a classic infrantry response to calvary). Winged Monkies
are a dual purpose force, both air and surface light infrantry,
meaning woodland or rocky terrain favors them in defense or attack. The ape organizational structure is seamless. None is indispensible. Initative is valued. They also have flex.
Into what battlefield would a Darwinian driven monkey sucker hayfield bred arrow pullers?

I've seen nothing to suggest the Centaurs are more than clever brutes with a successful if limited tactical advantage that can be eliminated by luring, surprize flank attacks, and targeting the enemy commander. I have the impression Centaurs are limited by their battle doctrine; they have no flex and do poorly with individual initative. They would panic and scatter once the herd domination was open to question.

.Should the Centaurs pin down enough monkey meat with shafts the primate end will come with impact of iron shod feet of endgame charge.

May the smarter tails win.

Well if the Centaurs have bows and arrows they would probobly win unless the Winged Monkies were carrying heavy rocks.

Centaurs would win as long as they have plenty of arrows. Being that they are very good with a bow, they should be able to kill off the monkeys before they get close. Also because the monkeys couldn't carry heavy weapons, the centaurs would be superior on the ground as well.

The centaurs have a keen eye site. The monkeys have no upper body strength and small rocks wouldn't do much to a party of centaurs, so the centaurs archery skills will win them the battle.

Monkeys will only win if there are lots of them, sort of like football hooligans Vs Centaurs.
