She has both Pellets and vegetables and plenty of hay! i have cut down on the vegetables, just in case they were upsetting her belly! but she is still lethargic and not as happy as she was...i think a trip to the vets is in order!

It sounds like your rabbit has diahrrea or possibly coccidiosis or possibly a combo of both (coccidiosis can cause diahrrea).

I recommend to quit feeding the vegetables. They can give your rabbit diahrrea. Basically what happens when you feed your rabbit vegetables is that it creates an environment in part of their digestive track that allows certain bacteria to reproduce more easily than they normally would. The more vegetables the rabbit eats, the more easily these bacteria can reproduce. What happens is when the bacteria levels for these bacteria reach a certain level, they make your rabbit sick and it gets diahrrea. Since a small rabbit has a smaller stomach it takes a lesser amount of vegetables to make them sick. That is why baby rabbits tend to get diahrrea from being fed vegetables much more easily than adult rabbits. Plus adult rabbits have already built up a little resistance to bacteria/disease whereas babies haven't.

So what I'd recommend you do is to stop feeding the vegetables completely. Then take your rabbit to the vet as soon as you can (not an ambulance type rush but very soon...same day if you can). Then have your vet take a stool sample of your rabbit and check your rabbit out.

After the doctor takes a stool sample and finds out what is causing the problem, they can prescribe the correct medicine for you to use. Diahrrea can be caused by a number of things. Feeding vegetables is just one thing. Coccidiosis is another. So that's why it is good to have them take a stool sample.

It is typical for a rabbit that has diahrrea to get a bloated stomach, especially if they have coccidiosis.

Make sure that your rabbit has plenty of water. Your rabbit loses a lot of water when it gets diahrrea and that water needs replenished so it doesn't get dehydrated.

Do You Feed Your Rabbit Pellets And Vegetables???

This Is What I Feed My 2 And I've Never Had A Problem... Make Sure He/She Has A Full Supply Of Water Daily And Fresh Vegetables A Couple Times A Week...

If It Still Continues, Take It To The Vet!!!

VET ASAP!!! Diarrhea can be life threatening, and if your rabbit is lethargic, it's even worse. She might have ingested a fur ball and got it stuck in her intestinal track. Rabbits can die if they eat morning glory the flower, and I think that geraniums are also poisonous to them, along with the azalea flower. Please take your bunny to the vet because my rabbit had this and he came very close to dying. She's probably going to need antibiotic shots and an IV. Stomach problems in bunnies mean business. I hope this helped and I have my fingers crossed for your bunny!! =)

P.S. Stop giving your rabbits veggies. It makes them sick, whatever the vet says. Store bought rabbits can die from veggies.

BRING HER TO THE VET ASAP!

She could have a serious issue called bloat. It is life threatening.
