From the vote rigging in the american elections, 9/11 and the perfect demolition job, The "WMD's" that iraq was suppose to have but did'nt, illegally invading iraq to saddam hussain's non existent "Links" with Al-qaida.

All these are obvious to everyone that the people were lied to and illegal acts undertaken.

"Investigations" seems to come and go and governemnts refuse to give clear and accurate FACTS when this is asked of them.
Why then is there never a Real legal proceeding as would be with anyone else who breaks the law to get to the truth and Make the guilty pay for their deceite, illegal behaviour and lies???

And before anyone tries to make out I am A conspiracy theorist I ask you to spend some time doing some study on the above examples I Have given, And then answer my question..

And I know that there have been "Token" politicians held accountable for instance Mr Blunket for his aid to his nanny and the Egg issue with edwina curry, However I am speaking about larger more worldwide issues.

We can but hope this is the beginning of the end of the Bush Administration. At the very least, it's going to thin his ranks!

There is a simple answer to your question, primarily, human greed and fear. It encompasses every other reason, the bottom line is "more", you know, "too much is never enough", be it resources, power, empire, blood-lust, what have you..its insatiable appetite for domination and hasn't the least to do with anything virtuous at all. This is the case of those in power. Obvious beyond measure is the destruction of life, liberty and freedom! Apparently enough of us are manipulated by fear hence we've layers of policies, practises and measures preventing such things as true justice and accountability. But I firmly believe that the truth will not be suppressed forever...and come hell or high-water there will come a time when all will be exposed and held fully accountable. The waiting however is tediously painful...while the ignorant die and those who support the TRUTH are divisively attacked.

This is not true. In the UK there is the convention of Individual Ministerial Responsibility, meaning that usually, when mistake has occurred, the head of the department involved is expected to resign.
Admittedly, this doesnt always happen, but there are mny instances when it has.
For example, in 1982, when Argentina attacked the Falklands. The then foreign secretary Lord Carringtonresigned, admitting his earlier assessments of Argantina had been wrong.
Another example is Edwina Currie saying that most of Britains egg production was infected with salmonella in 1988. She later accepted this was an exaggeration, and resigned.
Obviously these examples are not in the same catergory as what you have mentioned, but nonetheless they are examples of when certain members of the government has, in fact, been held ccountable for their wrongdoings.

It's easy for a politician to use diffusion of responsibility as a credible excuse because often a given issue has many people on several levels working with it.

It's probably safe to say that outrage is most likely to occur and can be focused on only one politician when s/he was the only individual to have anything at all to do with an issue.

Because there is nothing to hold Republicans to

1. The vote fraud and problems happen in inner cities and liberal counties. Funny how you refuse to mention this

2. 9-11 garbage deserves no mention

3. Iraq had WMDs, what did Saddam gas the Kurds with?

4. You cannot even get a single fact out on why we went into Iraq

It is obvious to you who hates conservatives and America. It is not obvious to the real world.

I have done lots of research on your lies and they are what I said they are LIES>

To understand properly an answer to your question you have to understand why a country as an ARMY. A clue, On a civil war who protect the politicians? Right!! On a conspiracy? On a legal "STATE" matter ? On top secret matter? Remember you cannot have weapons it is illegal. You cannot kill somebody. Who can? Who got weapons legally. A clue who want to be shot to do a Real legal investigation with FACTS? I do not? Do you?

I hope this answer your question I am sorry if it is a shocking answer.

They're also never held accountable to the law. It's a precedent that Ford set when he pardoned Nixon. Since then our Presidents have been committing felonies right and left.

FYI, pratically every politician has a law degree, but most have never seen the inside of a court room to try a case. This means that it is more profitable to be in politics, where the real money is, and because of your legal training , you know all the loopholes to protect yourself from possible prosecution.

bruever is correct...politicians aren't held accountable because we don't fire them.

If I go to work late, take a 3 hour lunch, and steal money I get fired. In politics politicians use their positions to do favors, get illegal money, lie, cheat, and steal, and then we reelect them.

Think of the election as a job review. If you boss gives you your job back..you will continue to show up late and steal....if we keep reelecting politicicns we hate they will do the same....so vote...and tell all complainers who choose to stay home that sordid Tuesday in Novemeber to vote.

Might I suggest you study a little more on psycho-therapy?

Were you aware almost all conspiracy theorists are almost all paranoid?

It is not unusual and it is something that can be changed with help.
