Pharmacy school doesn't care which university you apply from. You can go to UC Berkley, but you need to pull off a good GPA in the required pre-pharmacy classes. Requirements vary among pharmacy schools. Many are adding on more required classes due to the recent increase in applicants. Today's pharmacists usually don't have bachelors because the required courses usually only take 2 years to complete. During the former half of the second year, the pre-pharmacy student takes the PCAT and applies to any pharmacy school. The latter half of the second year, the student goes through a number of interviews until he/she is accepted. Some schools require a third year of undergraduate academic work. Pharmacy school is 4 years. After pharmacy school, you can go on to specialize.

In CA, to be competitive, you need a bachelors to be accepted into pharmacy. Right now, prePharm is 2-4 years, and pharmacy school is 4 years.
Berkley does not have a pharmacy school.
If you are still in Junior High, good chance by the time you graduate high school, a bachelors will be required everywhere.
You are way too young to start worrying about careers.

I am a pharmacist & a preceptor as well in NYC.

Pharmacy major has become relatively competitive nowaday...The obstacles of getting into plus completing the entire course work include good HS/SAT grades, Once you are "in" the school, then you may worry about PSAT and getting "in" the program 2 years later...

The easy way out of this is finding a school that takes u in the program from the get-go (no PSAT). However, these schools may not be in your immediate area...

Let me know if u need more guidance...

You don't have to go to college. You can go straight to the university but college can help a tiny bit but not much. After your 4 years in the university you go to pharmacy school.
I hope I was able to help.
