Radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr launched a strong attack Saturday on President George W. Bush, calling him the "greatest evil" for refusing to withdraw American troops from Iraq.
Al-Sadr led two armed uprisings against U.S. forces in 2004, and his Mahdi militia is believed responsible for much of the sectarian killing that pushed this country into civil conflict.

I think you've got it backwards. The Democrat's stand on this war came first, his comments came after it. So that would mean he's siding with the Democrats in wanting us out of Iraq, not the other way around. Not a fan of Al-Sadr, but of course they want us out of their country, and "they" would be most of the Iraqis, according to the latest polls taken in that country. Not a real big surprise.
